To ensure your preferred appointment time, it is recommended you schedule your spa experience with as much advance notice as possible or at the conclusion of your last experience. Our professional staff allocates time especially for each guest, therefore, a credit card is requested to guarantee these reservations. All spa experiences are subject to availability. Menu service and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Credit cards are required to reserve all appointments, including those using gift cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
To begin your spa journey in a relaxed state, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. For a new guest, please allow 30 minutes to accommodate completion of your guest profile. Spa robes, slippers, private lockers and beverages are provided for your comfort. Delayed arrival will limit the time for your experience, reducing the effectiveness of your treatment and the expectations of your visit. In consideration of other spa guests, service time will not be extended for delayed arrivals, and the full price of your service will be charged. Please notify our staff if there are any special physical or medical needs or conditions they need to consider prior to your services (i.e. pregnancy, food or product sensitivities or aggressive medications). We recommend that valuable items be left at home. Woodhouse is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
As a courtesy, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation prior to your arrival. Should the need arise to cancel or reschedule reservations, a 24-hour advance notice is required. A 48-hour advance notice is required for any spa packages and multiple treatments lasting more than 2 hours. Insufficient notice to cancel or reschedule reservations are subject to charges up to full service value. All no show reservations will be assessed a charge at full value of services. Spa Parties are subject to terms of agreement for cancellations.
Woodhouse Spa will not perform any service(s) on anyone under the age of 18 and reserves the right to limit and/or prohibit services for underage guests. Children are not prohibited at the spa or in the spa boutique. Please review the following specific age restrictions for Woodhouse Spa Downtown Charleston: Massage: Guests must be 18+ for a solo massage. Parents/guardians may not sit in the service room in order to get a minor in for service. Body Treatment: Guests must be 18+ for all Body Treatments. Ritual: Guests must be 18+ for all Rituals. Facial: Guests must be 18+ for a facial. Guests 16+ may receive a facial if a parent/guardian is present with them at a spa (re: in another service or in the relaxation room). The parent/guardian must check in with the minor and stay at the spa for the duration of the minor's service. Wax: Guests must be 18+ for all Wax services. Nails: Guests must be 18+ for solo Nail services. Guests 16+ may receive a nail service if a parent/guardian is present with them at a spa (re: in another service or in the relaxation room). Guests 12+ may receive a nail service if a parent/guardian is present in the same service room. Alcohol: Guests under the age of 21 are not permitted to access the mimosa bar even with parent consent. We have the right to card guests or prohibit alcohol consumption.
Payments are accepted in the form of Cash, most Major Credit Cards and Woodhouse Spa Gift Cards.Woodhouse gift card contains value which may be used to purchase products and services at face value. This card cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. The card must be presented at time of purchase and the available balance will be applied to the transaction. Prices vary by spa and are subject to change without notice. Spa locations are individually owned franchises solely responsible for any and all gift card liabilities at their respective locations. Redemption of this card is subject to certain restrictions and expirations set by each spa location or state regulation. Should this card be redeemed at another location, the card will be redeemed at face value. This card is non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash. Any unused balance will remain on the card. This card is not transferable and Woodhouse is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or unauthorized use of the card. No express or implied warranties apply. Series of services are not refundable, but can be converted to spa credit. There will be a $50.00 fee each time a check is returned as well as any incurred charges for collection of payment owed. Gratuities are not included in the value of the services and are at the discretion of the guest.
In the event you are not satisfied with a skin or body care product, you will be given spa credit if the product is returned within 30 days of purchase. For other retail items, a refund will be issued as spa credit or back in the form of which payment was received within 30 days of purchase.
Before Your Tan: - Thoroughly exfoliate 24 hours before your tan. - Any hair removal is to be done 24 hours prior. Please do not shave just before your tan. Shaving can encourage your skin to produce natural oils which could affect the tan. Your pores also need time to close so that you don’t get “strawberry skin”. Waxing should be done at least 48 hours before your appointment. - Use a body wash that is not highly perfumed. - Before your appointment, do not apply any lotions, oils, or deodorants. Lotion can act as a barrier and deodorant can turn green. - Before your tan, remove all jewelry. After Your Tan: - Wear or bring dark, loosely-fitting clothing to change into at the end of your tan. Tanning solutions wash out of most clothes very easily but may stain some materials. - Wear or bring practical foot wear (i.e not sneakers & socks.) A slip-on would be ideal. - If it’s raining, make sure you are covered up. Also, please do not expose your skin to any water (i.e. brushing your teeth, washing your hands, coloring your hair, watering plants). If water or any other liquid gets on your skin, it will wash off that area of your tan, while the rest of your tan continues to develop. This will result in lines, splotches, streaking, etc. - Use an SLS-free body was and avoid anything which may exfoliate your skin such as long, hot baths, exposure to chlorinated water, or exfoliating gloves or sponges. - Wait a minimum of 8 hours before you moisturize and moisturize the morning and night for the life of your tan. - The average tan lasts 5 to 7 days depending on your skin and at-home maintenance. A good skincare routine is essential when taking care of your spray tan. - Do not exercise until 8-12 hours after your tan. - If you rinse and notice streaking down your legs, this Is because the legs typically get run off from the shower which is not enough pressure to wash off the cosmetic bronzers. Take your hand and rub In circles to get the cosmetic bronzers off.

Can you accommodate all hair textures? The hair itself is not so much of a concern as we will be primarily focusing on the scalp during the Waterfall Scalp Experience. We kindly request that you ensure we have unobstructed access to your scalp; unfortunately, we cannot provide services on clients with extensions, braids, or sew-ins that impede this access. Do I need to wash my hair before coming? We advise not washing your hair before coming as washing your hair too frequently will strip the hair and scalp of its moisture. We do, however, ask that your hair and scalp is clean and has been washed at least 3 days prior. Product buildup can hinder the Spa Professionals’ ability to treat the scalp properly. Is the Head Spa safe for expecting mothers? The Waterfall Scalp Experience may not be suitable for those who experience vertigo or are over 28 weeks pregnant, as our service requires you to lay on your back with slight head tilting. What can I expect from the massage component of the treatment? While our Waterfall Scalp Experience may include elements that feel like a massage, its primary focus is therapeutic scalp care. Our specialists employ precise techniques throughout the service, promoting relaxation while prioritizing scalp health. We kindly ask that you refrain from requesting stronger or longer massages, as these are not the core focus of our treatment philosophy. Who cannot receive a head spa? Please contact us directly if you have any medical history or sensitivities that we should be made aware of. Those with skin sensitivities around the scalp and neck are not advised. The Waterfall Scalp tables are not suitable for those with a history of back/neck/spinal issues, or those prone to motion sickness.
